Happy July loves! I missed you all last week but I’m back with another #MCM. Monday’s just wouldn’t be right without them!
Today. I’m featuring the fabulous Kim W. and I’m super excited to share this post today. When I tell yall Kim’s hair is bomb…it’s BOMB! I love her vibrant style and her popping perm rods sets. Get the scoop all about Kim below!
Mane Style: How long have you been natural?
Kim: I’ve been natural my entire life. I kept my hair straightened my entire life up until 2016, wearing natural styles sometimes in between straight styles once I started college. In December of 2016 is when I cut off all of the heat damaged ends of my hair, and began to wear my hair in it’s natural state.
MS: What is your go-to hairstyle that never fails?
K: My go to hair style that never fails is my high puff. If I do a twist out, braid out or another style that doesn’t turn out how I would prefer, I can always turn my hair into a high puff and still feel cute!
MS: Do you have any holy-grail products you can’t live without?
K: My holy grail products are Shea Moisture’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave in and Mielle Organics Leave in conditioner when i’m looking for a lighter leave in to use on my hair.
MS: Describe your personal style in two words?
K: Chic & Edgy
MS: What clothing store(s) could we find you in, mostly?
K: Express, Urban Outfitters, Zara
MS: If you couldn’t live without one thing in your closet what would it be?
K: My sweatpants. I wear them all the time, pretty much any time I run errands, or am lounging around the house. I’m all about comfort when I don’t need to have on makeup or be dressed up for special occasions.
MS: Does your outfit of the day reflect how you wear your hair? Or vice versa?
K: Sometimes my outfit may determine how I wear my hair. But most of the time, I will wear my hair how I want, regardless of the outfit I am wearing.
MS: Just for fun, who are your top three #WCW or just women who inspire you?
K: Oprah, Luvvie Ajayi, Morgan DeBaun
MS: If you could share one of piece advice with readers, whether it be about style, hair or life, what would it be?
K: My piece of advice would be to not care what others think or say about you. Just live your life, doing what makes you happy, and everything will be fine!
