Yes, I'm still alive!

I know you’re probably wondering where the heck I’ve been? I haven’t really been anywhere but school, that’s the thing. Being a new blogger and attending school has been a challenge for me but I plan to tackle it! Definitely one of my goals for 2016.

My first semester of Junior Year didn't eat me alive, surprisingly. I'm not saying it was easy, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Thankfully, I didn't have to face any super psycho professors or have a load of assignments that drove me crazy. I would rate this semester about a 8 on a scale of 1-10, academically.

Besides academics, I enjoyed my normal college student life. I continued to stay involved with my organizations, attended different events and athletic games, and occasionally partook in the turn up from time to time (lol). I didn't do anything too special this semester.

One thing I am grateful for was that I was able to work this semester! I work as the the layout editor for my school's newspaper, The Tiger's Roars. Working this semester has contributed to me reaching one of my many goals that I've set on my goal board. And that was to save money. It is the ultimate struggle for me to save my money sometimes because clothes & food are constantly calling my name. I'm super proud of myself for not giving in.

Besides starting my blog and saving money, another goal I wrote on my board was to receive a scholarship....and that I did! I was blessed to receive a scholarship from COMTO Atlanta.

Also, towards the end of the semester I had the chance to shoot with a cool photographer at my school, Juice. Be sure to check him out!

The shoot took place in the beautiful Downtown Savannah. This is like the second time I've taken pictures besides the typical school photos and family portraits. So I'm no pro when it comes to being in front of the camera. My awkward black girl syndrome quickly took over, lol. I was extremely camera shy, didn't know what to do with my hands lol & kept laughing. All in all it was a fun and funny experience.

A few of my faves from the shoot.

2016 will be here before we know it! I am excited to see what this new year will bring for me, especially since my 21st birthday is on the way! *Woot, Woot* Be sure to mark January 31st as a special day in your calendar, lol.

And I would like to wish a Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Love Always,

Asia W.
